Clinical Trial Participant Survey

The latest World Health Organization projections indicate that almost half of the world's adult population is overweight and more than one in 10 is obese. Being overweight or obese can have a serious impact on health. Carrying extra fat leads to significant health consequences such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders like osteoarthritis, and some cancers.

In order to compensate for extra weight, the spine can become tilted and stressed unevenly. As a result, over time, the back may lose its proper support and an unnatural curvature of the spine may develop. We have seen this epidemic affecting so many of our patients that we have decided to implement a doctor supervised weight lossprogram and management into our practice. 

We are looking for eight people to work with us and test this program. The ideal participant is over weight or obese with a Body Mass Index of 27 or higher, and can visit our office in Ballantyne between one and three times per week for the six week program beginning January 14 - February 2, 2019. 

The efficacy of the program has already been proven with men typically average 30 - 45 lb loss and women average 15 - 20 lbs based on a clinical trial of over 500 people 1. However, we need assess viability of implementing the program within our clinic, and the value difference between two protocols.

The cost of the program will be rebated back to you upon successful completion of the program, less a $55 administrative and processing fee, if you are selected to participate in the trial, and the biggest loser based on body weight will receive a 100% refund, including the $55 administrative and processing fee.

• Participants must agree to allow before and after photos, and video testimonials of their experience to be used in advertising.
• Participants must be able to visit our office between January 15 and January 31 for an initial consulation, and begin the program within 7 days of the initial consulation.
• Participants are chosen at the sole discretion of Gallagher Chiropractic.

• All participants must begin the program no later than February 2, 2019.

If you are considered for participation, you'll receive additional qualifying questions and details no later than January 10, 2019. There are no shakes used, so you'll eat real food, based on our diet's guidelines that will be provided at your initial consultation. Supplements for metabolism and appetite control, as well as weekly coaching is provided during the six week program, in addition to bioimpedence analysis, measurements and blood pressure either once or three times per week. 

Group A:  The price being considered for this program is $590. However, we will only require $390 to participate, with a rebate of your cost as noted below upon successful completion of the program. Participants will be required to visit once per week for approximately 15-30 minutes. Maximinum rebate is $335.

Group B:  The price being considered for this program is $990. However, we will only require $390 to participate, with a rebate of your cost as noted below upon successful completion of the program. Participants will be required to visit three times per week for approximately 45 minutes per appointment. Maximum Rebate is $335.

Rebate: Since participants of Group A have proven through the clinical trial referenced above that a 10% weight loss is a minimum expected loss, successful completion of the program will be measured by the amount of weight lost. Therefore, rebate amounts given will be as follows:

• 10.00% Weight Loss - 100% of the Maximum Rebate
• 7.50 - 9.99% Weight Loss - $75% of the Maximum Rebate
• 5.00 - 7.49% Weight Loss - $50% of the Maximim Rebate
• 4.99% Weight Loss or Less - No Rebate is Given

Those that make the final selection will be given the guidelines in detail prior to confirming that the the program is within their dietary and health constraints. Supplement formula is a nutritional support formula that contains a host of all-natural ingredients including specific amino acids and vitamin B12. The formula provides hunger and craving suppression, blood sugar stabilization, detoxification, improved fatty acid transportation and fatty acid metabolism.
