Pregnancy and Pediatric Chiropractic Care in Charlotte

Regular chiropractic checkups with your Charlotte chiropractor, along with other healthy habits, create the best opportunity for a healthy, happy mother and baby.

Dr. GALLAGHER has taken many post-graduate education seminars involving the treatment of children and pregnant women.

Dr. GALLAGHER states "Chiropractic is a good fit for pregnant women for two reasons. First, most of the problems they have are due to the biomechanical or structural changes that occur in the woman's body as the baby develops. These forces impose a great deal of stress on the lumbar spine and pelvis leading to lower back pain and sciatica. Secondly, the pregnant woman often may not want to take medications. Together, this makes chiropractic a perfect fit for the pregnant woman."

Scientific studies evaluating the effects of chiropractic care on children have indicated some very positive findings. A Study in Denmark shows encouraging evidence that infants with colic are helped by chiropractic care, even when more traditional treatments fail. Of 316 babies treated by 73 chiropractors in 50 different clinics, improvement was reported in more than 90% of these children. Children with allergies and asthma often show significant improvement under chiropractic care.

I am pregnant with twins and have been seeing Dr GALLAGHER since i was 3 months along. Throughout my entire pregnancy I haven't felt ANY back pain or the other pains that most pregnant woman experience. He listens to how i feel and my needs and we meet weekly to keep my back and hips aligned in order to have a healthy pregnancy. Dr GALLAGHER and Megan are so great to always work with me and my schedule. I look forward to continuing seeing him after the birth of the babies to ensure my spine and pelvis are in prime position! I would recommend this practice to ANYONE, pregnant or not.  -- Alexis H.

Testimonials

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "This was my second episode of symptoms so bad that I could not work. The first time I turned to an orthopedic clinic for help. It was very slow going for relief. I had always heard good things about chiropractic treatment. The second time around I called Dr. RICHARD GALLAGHER at GALLAGHER Chiropractic after 6:00pm at his office. He saw me the next morning and afternoon and continued to treat me with adjustments and heat therapy. I was walking straight within a few days and pain free within a few weeks. I highly recommend GALLAGHER Chiropractic."
